How to Make Paper Fortune Cookies

To  create these fun paper fortune cookies you will need the following:

• patterned paper
• circle cutter 
• glue dots

1. Using your circle cutter, cut a 4″ circle out of your patterned paper. If you don’t have a circle cutter, you can also use a lid that is about 4″ and trace with a pencil and cut out using scissors.
2. Gently fold the circle in half so it resembles a taco and place a glue dot at the top of the rounded edge to secure
3. With your finger and thumb, pinch the rounded edge closed and hold in position while you grab the two ends of the “taco” with the thumb and finger of your other hand. Basically you want one hand to hold the top closed while the other hand brings the two open ends towards the center. There will be some resistance in the paper until it eventually bends all the way to form a fortune cookie. This must be done slowly to prevent tearing.
4. Once the paper forms the shape of a fortune cookie, you can add your greeting. I printed my favorite verse for my fortune cookies, but you could add what ever message suits the occasion.
