Crack in the Mountain Hiking Guide
The Crack in the Mountain slot canyon hike goes by many names, (also called SARA’s Crack Trail, SARA Canyon Trail or Crack in the Wall), but most people just refer to it as “The Crack.” The trail head, located at SARA (Special Activities Recreation Area) Park, is about 15 minutes south of the London Bridge Resort on hwy 95 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. This hike offers a fairly flat out and back trail through the canyon as well as an upper route both ending along the shores of Lake Havasu. Hot Chocolate Bar
Baby It’s Cold Outside! Here in my neck of the woods, we have been having record-setting rainfall and flooding. It’s downright miserable out there! When my kids get off the school bus, they are pretty cold, so I wanted to create a little something special to help them warm up. I am just thrilled at how my little hot cocoa bar turned out. Whipped Cream Hearts
Who doesn’t love a mug of hot cocoa on a cold winter day? It’s one of the things I look forward to during the winter months. Last Christmas I used this image of my three kids on the inside of our family Christmas cards and I got a lot of people asking how I made those heart shaped marshmallows! I was flattered that people actually thought I would make marshmallows from scratch, but sadly, no. I’ve heard they aren’t that hard to make, but these whipped cream hearts are much easier!

Superbowl Chili
Every time we host a super bowl party at our house, I make this chili. It works great in a crock pot or you can double the recipe and make it in a stock pot if you have a large crowd. We always set out toppings so each guest can dress it up to their liking. Topping ideas: Sour Cream Grated Cheddar Cheese Chives Bacon Jalepenos It’s always a crowd pleaser and makes wonderful leftovers during the warm winter months. Of course chili is great paired with corn bread, but these homemade cheesy crackers are pretty amazing too!
