Street of Dreams House 1: Mon Coeur
Mon Coeur This home was stunning! I was in love from the moment I walked though the door. The inside was tastefully adorned with adorable Fixer-Upper inspired touches. Of all the homes, this one most reflects my personal style and felt the least pretentious…for a 8,263 sq ft home anyway! The following is a summary of some of my favorite areas at Mon Coeur and doesn’t begin to cover the entirety of the home! Formal Living Room The highlight of this living room is the fireplace which features a white marble tiled fireplace surround just like what we have picked out for our fireplace. It looks gorgeous!! Pink Peony Home and Finds Store Review
Exciting News for Fixer Upper Fans! If you are a fan of the HGTV show “Fixer Upper” then you have probably caught yourself day-dreaming what it would be like to have Joanna Gaines design your space. Maybe if you are like me, you even try to convince your hubby to make a trip to Waco, TX just to visit Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Home store. My Visit to the Mary Jane’s Farm Store in Couer d’ Alene
Earlier this year I purchased “Glamping with Mary Jane” to gather inspiration for my own trailer remodel. I then learned that she publishes a her own self-titled magazine and instantly fell in love with all the great ideas for organic gardening and country living. It’s such a lovely magazine and I look for it whenever I’m browsing the magazine isle. So imagine my excitement when on vacation in Couer d’ Alene, ID, I walked past an actual brick and mortar Mary Jane’s Farm store. Are you serious?!! I wanted to go right in, but my family and I were already headed out to hiking, so I had to wait…pure torture! Even…

French Country Kitchen: Color Palette Inspiration
I really LOVE how this all turned out. The colors are so calming to me and the light cabinets really brighten up the kitchen. We decided to leave the trim dark because it really captures the character of our Tudor-style home. We also carried the dark colors throughout the kitchen by choosing antique bronze finishes for the light fixtures, hardware and faucets. The light and dark contrast really brings everything together. So happy!

Kitchen Remodel Before and After
Our kitchen remodel was not the typical situation where a construction team was hired and the job was completed in a few months. We took our sweet time, about 18 months to be exact. The majority of the time was spent researching ideas and troubleshooting ways to make our ideas come to fruition. We hit several road blocks along the way, but we were very determined to try every avenue needed to make it work. Our adventure began when we discovered our dishwasher was broken sometime in March of 2012. After pulling the dishwasher out, we learned it had been leaking behind the cabinets and under the floor, clear into…
