Mosier Plateau Hiking Guide
Sometime between mid-April and early May, photographers and nature enthusiasts start making the trek up the Columbia River Gorge to see the wildflowers in bloom. Rowena Crest is a popular spot as is Dog Mountain. Unfortunately Rowena Crest is not dog friendly and well, Dog Mountain is not people friendly…Just kidding! Dog Mountain is great if you enjoy steep hikes, but it’s definitely not a leisurely hike. If you’re looking for a gorgeous wildflower hike where you can bring your dog and ease your way into the hiking season, look no further! Tucked up in the hills of Mosier Oregon is a breathtaking view of the Columbia River from on…

Spinach Artichoke Tart
I found this amazing recipe when I was going through my hard core Paleo phase a few years back. Even now, I still eat pretty clean and would probably consider my diet somewhere between Paleo and Keto, however because this recipe does contain cheese, it would fall more in-line with Keto foods than strict Paleo. Get the Look for Less: My Easter Table
How to Shop at Discount Stores to Give Your Home a Designer Look for Less Every few months I look forward to changing up my seasonal decor. Back in February I started plotting and planning how I was going to set up my Easter table this year. I didn’t realize I wanted bunny plates until this point, but they seemed to be everywhere…and so cute! I looked online at Pier One, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Amazon etc and decided I liked the plates at Pier One the best…until one…

Boho Chic Tea Party
Last weekend I helped put on a mother daughter tea for the National Charity League. How fun is that?! This yearly event gives members a chance to celebrate their year of volunteering in the community as well as honoring the outgoing senior girls. Once we decided on the Boho Chic decor theme I started working on the invitation. After several revisions, this the final design that was sent out. I just love the roses and the peachy colors that make it feel feminine and pretty and the dream catcher sets the tone for the Boho Chic theme. The inspirational motto was “Collect Moments Not Things.” This is the first year…

A Visit to Marchesi Vineyards in Hood River
One Sunday afternoon in March, my husband and I decided to visit Marchesi Vineyards in Hood River. On our drive we each texted friends to get recommendations for a good place to stop and enjoy a glass of wine. Both friends replied “Go to Marchesi,” so that’s where we went. It was our first time trying any of the vineyards in Hood River, but we had heard so many great things from our friends that we were eager to experience it for ourselves. I’m not going to sit here and try to convince you that we are sophisticated wine connoisseurs, far from it, but we do enjoy a nice glass…
