Great Places in the Foster Powell Neighborhood
The Foster Powell neighborhood located in South East Portland, affectionately known as FoPo, is the only triangle-shaped neighborhood in Portland. The area is beginning to see a resurgence with vibrant new shops and restaurants popping up, so I mapped out a few of them went exploring. But First a little Portland History This land was originally farmland owned by pioneer homesteader Phillip Foster who arrived in the Oregon Territory in 1843. Quick Bites in St Augustine
Our St Augustine itinerary was packed full, so rather than using valuable time sitting down for a big meal, we opted to try several popular stops for quick bites all around the downtown historic district. There were so many options, it was really hard to chose. We strolled up and down St George Street twice before we finally made up our minds! A Year of Coffee Flights at Country Coffee
CC Sit N Sip in Boring, Oregon has the most adorable coffee flights. New seasonal flavors are offered every month paired with sweet treats. When we visited in January we decided to make this our monthly coffee date, so I present you with a year of coffee flights recap: January Coffee Flight The Horeseshoe Latte had cinnamon and tasted like the rice pudding my mom used to make at Christmas. If you’re in The Dalles , start your morning off right with a visit in to Kainos Coffee for a delicious cup of coffee. Right away you will notice a fun, colorful space with geometric patterned walls accented with lots of indoor plants. On one side of the coffee shop is a row of tables and chairs, perfect for working remotely. The opposite side has a comfortable sofa and a fun coffee cup mural.
