Tiny Taco Bar
A Taco Buffet: a sure crowd pleaser!
One of my favorite types of meals to prepare include some kind of “serve yourself” bar where you get to customize your meal to your liking, and because I’m not a short order chef, serving meals this way insures that everyone is happy. You don’t want onions? You can’t have dairy? You think salsa is too spicy? Great…make it how you like it! A tacos bar is also a great way to introduce new flavor combinations. My family loved these pulled chicken tacos and by making them with mini taco shells, they were able to try out a variety of different flavors without getting too full.
Honestly, half the fun for me is setting up the meal in a fun way that looks inviting. I could have just set the tacos on a plate with jars of condiments straight from the refrigerator, and while there is nothing wrong with that version, it really only takes 5 minutes or less to set up something a little more special. Three Tiered Ceramic Buffet Server is perfect for setting out a leisurely weekend lunch and also works well for those busy after-school days when you are lucky to catch a bite to eat in between school and evening activities. You can learn how I used this tiered server for a breakfast bar here.
