A Beautiful Girlfriends Brunch at Mermosa in NW Portland

If you’re looking for the perfect Instagramable brunch spot for your next girlfriends brunch, head over to Mermosa in NW Portland. Mermosa serves their brunch family style with portions plated to feed four or more people. Our group of nine simply split into two different ordering groups to make the most of the sharable entrees.

If you’re the kind of person (like me) who loves a well garnished plate, then you will love all the options at Mermosa. The entire experience from start to finish is a feast for the eyes!

I love this jellyfish inspired floral arrangement hanging above the tables and the navy and white striped curtains gave the perfect beach cabana vibe.

Cocktails

The cocktails are just as delicious as they are eye-catching.

Our drink orders included (left to right) the Bey Sting, the House Bloody Mary and the Mermaid Water mocktail.

I ordered the Virgo’s Groove (Honey, Lemon, Peach, Empress Gin and Lavender with edible glitter). It was delicious! I didn’t pick up the lavender so much, but the peach flavor was perfection.

This wine flight is easily the star of the show! It’s such a beautiful presentation and features Mermosa Wines, made here in Oregon. Your flight includes Mersecco (Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Riesling), Celestine Rosé (Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris) and Mermosa Bubbles (Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling infused with a splash or orange and pineapple juice).

Appetizers

Our party of 9 ordered two appetizers and shared them family style. We tried the deviled eggs and the salmon bites. Of the two, the salmon bites were my personal favorite. They were delicious and I would 100% order them again.

Oyster lovers will be happy to find shooters on the menu as well!

Salad Course

There are two choices for salad and we decided to share the Strawberry Pecan Salad. The house strawberry vinaigrette tasted incredibly fresh. It definitely featured more strawberry than vinegar which I quite enjoyed.

Main Brunch Entrees

Four of us shared the biscuits and gravy and we all thought it was delicious. We did request extra gravy though because that’s a big biscuit, and because well…GRAVY!!

Several in our group ordered the Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict served on homemade biscuits.

Global Taste Buds

This brunch marked the official one year anniversary of our Global Taste Buds, a monthly lunch group featuring ethnic food in the Portland area. What a fun experience to meet with these women and try delicious cuisine from all over the globe. I look forward to sharing more of our experiences with you!
